Right second of my napoleonic explores until things come together for more Arp tunnels around dover..Right western heights and i must admit havnt done a huge amount of research well none at the moment its late and im keen to get report up before i decend to bed..visited with unclebulgaria and in the company of many bats..really enjoyed this one the place is bloody huge ,right enuff of me and on with the pics..
A couple first of our wander round looking for the entrance
some ones been painting..
right inside now atlast these places are easier to find in the day i assume
the counter weight still bounces about as you walk across the drawbridge
Sly one looking down over dover priory station etc..
and one of uncle b as we left
Right thx for looking and no trains this time;)...more napoleonic dover to follow i think i like it..
nice photos mate and such a lovely place. This has always been one of my favorite places in dover. top marks
from when you get up to the top so to speak where i got my dover priory shot theres a route down to the opposite side so ive been told east or west side i cant remember as we went up one or the other lol..one section with the bats was mainly caved in and lead right down towards where theres some metal sheeting on the other side of moat along from mway we got down..right obs from where we got down we went left past first raw bridge there was a log wedged in a hole and about 8 foot above a hole in a bricked up doorway type of area..this i assume leads into the north part leading to the road entrances with the big metal sheets on?
